Hidasuki Hanging Flower Vase
Elevate your interior with the enchanting allure of this Bizen ware hanging vase. Designed to hang gracefully in spaces, it speaks of serenity and respect for nature.
Inspired from the kake hanaire vase, a traditional Japanese flower vase designed to be hung in ceremonial tea rooms, this type of vase embodies the tea ceremony’s values of harmony and tranquility through its elegant and thoughtful placement.
The coarse texture, exquisite colors and patterns known as hidasuki is created by wrapping each item in straw and placing it in the kiln with a cover called a saya, and fired in a place away from direct heat. Light brown in color throughout and scarlet in the areas where the straw is wrapped, the contrast between the vivid colors make the hidasuki one of the popular styles of Bizen ware.
A beautiful item to decorate a room with seasonal flowers, it can be hung from a wall or column but can also be placed on a tabletop to decorate with its artistic fired patterns.
