“PICNIC” Japanese Teacup
This design is the result of a collaboration with product designer Kobayashi Mikiya, who worked closely with Kamide Keigo, the 6th-generation head of the Choemon Kiln. Through multiple visits and discussions at the kiln, they blended contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship.
The colorful lines represent grass and flowers in the field, the wind, and sunlight. This piece is designed to evoke the feeling of being outdoors, even when you’re enjoying your drink inside.
Each piece is carefully crafted by hand using a potter’s wheel. You can choose the teacup with or without a lid.
